Listen to Admiral Farragut Academy, Head Football Coach Buster Davis this Saturday May 11, 2013, from 11:00 A.M.- 1:00 P.M. on The Home Team (Radio Station 860 AM) hosted by Paul Porter.
Article on the Sports section of the Tampa Bay Times. Read on for a heartwarming story of our Baseball BlueJackets making a difference in the community!
The Challenger Division was established in 1989 as a separate division of Little League to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in high school, to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide.
Nearly one year ago, the school embarked on a campaign and reached out to our families, alumni, and friends with a goal of raising $400,000 for a new rubberized 8-lane track facility. Thanks to the recent vote by the Foundation Board of Trustees to distribute $50,000 in support of this effort, we are pleased to announce that we are nearly at our goal!
Featuring Brittany McGee, Napoleon Maxwell, the Boys 4x100 Meter Relay Team (Cortavious Givens, Brad Muhammad, Todd Macon, and Napoleon Maxwell), and Ashaunti Brown
Brad, WR and DB, was one of the players that helped turn the Admiral Farragut Football program around. Because of his incredibly hard work and dedication, we are very proud to announce that Brad has signed and committed to Jacksonville University on a full football scholarship. He has been at Farragut since his 8th grade year.
Six athletes advanced to the State Championships at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
AFA alumni and former school record holder Erica Bolline was on hand to see the feat. "I just came to see her (McGee), see this amazing athlete that broke all my records," Bolline said.
16 of our athletes advanced to the Region 3 Championships!
We are gearing up for next year and have reorganized under the name BlueJacket Athletics Club, replacing the Booster Club. We are seeking members and volunteers at every level.
Napoleon Maxwell was nominated Home Team Hot Shot by the Tampa Bay Times for the week of April 6-12 because of his performance at Districts.

Parking near the Huntley Field House will be reserved for our visitors. We are required by the state to charge an admission cost of $6 for each game. This fee also applies to Booster Club members.
Brittany, a sophomore, has maintained her dominance, with times and distances that not only rank among the state's best in Class A, but also the nation.
The inaugural meeting is scheduled for April 17 at 6:30 pm in the library.
"I would love to get an offer from Florida," Givens said. "Really, Florida or FSU. I told the Florida coaches I would commit if that happened, and I would be solid."
Brittany McGee wins both the Long Jump and 100 Hurdles.
She is leading the league in strikeouts with 153 and has a record of 9 wins and 3 losses!
Our record overall is 9-3 and 8-3 in district play!
