You must submit all of the items below to complete your application file.
[ ] Campus tour and interview - A campus tour and personal interview are preferred, however, a Skype interview may be arranged if a campus visit is not possible. Schedule your tour now.
[ ] Complete the application - online application or print application.
[ ] Pay the non-refundable application fee - Payable online by credit card, mail in check, or money order made payable to "Admiral Farragut Academy".
[ ] Submit two (2) teacher recommendations required from both English and Math teachers. Two teacher recommendations may be submitted online, via fax or mail. You are responsible for following up with the teachers to make sure the recommendations have been submitted.
[ ] Official school transcripts* from the previous 3 years of schooling - Transcripts should include curriculum information from your previous school and how it compares to the American system. Transcripts must be mailed or delivered directly to Admiral Farragut Academy from the most recent school, in a signed, sealed envelope. *Transcripts must be translated into English. We need both translated and untranslated versions of your transcripts.
[ ] Send any individual testing and evaluation results on record.
[ ] English language proficiency scores (TOEFL or ITEP SLATE) - International applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to demonstrate competency in English in one of the following ways:
- TOEFL - Test of English as a Foreign Language (Farragut school code: 1970)
- ITEP SLATE - Minimum score of 2.5 required
ESOL Test Requirements
- New 11th grade students must qualify for the Advanced ESOL class.
- Below are suggested class placements, however, final decisions will be at the discretion of the High School Division Head, the ESOL Director, and the ESOL Instructor.

[ ] Proof of financial responsibility - Family must provide documentary evidence that sufficient funds are or will be available to defray all expenses during the entire period of anticipated study.
NOTE: All paperwork may be faxed, except for the applicant’s grades, standardized test scores, and transcripts.
A deposit of $9,600 ($9,000 - tuition and $600 - enrollment fee) is required before we will send out the I-20. The I-20 is the first step to obtaining an F1 Student Visa. Families must make an appointment with their local United States consulate or embassy to obtain an F1 student visa. International students must have an F1 student visa before they can start classes at Farragut. If you are not able to obtain a student visa, your deposit will be refunded.
