The strength that an alumni association brings to a school is enormous. Untold resources become available to the institution when alumni are connected, informed and involved with their Alma Mater and each other. Such is the case with Admiral Farragut Academy. Alumni News will be our opportunity to keep you abreast of the current happenings that affect and impact your school and provide the information you need to remain connected or reconnect with your classmates. A Longtime Friend to AFA Passes On- Julia Masciangelo
A Message from Bill Masciangelo, Jr.
Family
and Friends, on January 2nd, at 7:00 am, Mom departed this life and
joined my dad and other saints in Heaven. May she and all the souls of
the faithful departed rest in peace. She had been under full hospice
care for the week prior to her passing. During the last two months she
had an opportunity to enjoy a visit with her brother and great
grandchildren during and after Christmas. She also fully participated
in her 90th birthday (21 November), Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas.
It was such a blessing for her to be able to enjoy these events during
the last weeks of her life; and also for me to have the opportunity to
be with my mom during these last weeks and days.
There will be a
celebration of her life held at New Hope UMC in Hertford, NC this
coming Spring at a date and time to be determined within the next two
weeks.
Julia asked that in lieu of flowers, that contributions
be made to the William R Masciangelo, Sr. Student Enrichment Fund C/O
