The Boarding School Experience
One of the great rewards of a boarding school is that many of our students and faculty live where they learn or teach. We offer 5- and 7-day boarding for students in grades 8-12, though most boarders are in grades 9-12. Our boarding students comprise over 40% of our Middle and High School population.
On average, our students come from over 16 U.S. states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and more than 27 countries, offering both our day and boarding students an opportunity to gain multi-cultural experiences and friends.
Our close-knit community of students and teachers share common athletic, artistic, and recreational interests through more than 20 clubs and organizations that include everything from film making to mixed martial arts. A multitude of social and travel opportunities encourage students to step outside the classroom and explore the world around them.
During the week, boarding students follow a strict schedule which translates to a firm grasp of time management skills--one of the major benefits of boarding life. If boarding students' homework is completed, grades are in good standing and rooms are clean, there are a multitude of after school activities such as sports, clubs, field trips and more offered on afternoons and weeknights.
During the weekend, boarding students go on fun excursions to local beaches, museums, movie theaters, shopping malls, restaurants, and theme parks that are less than a couple hours away like Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, Disney World, Sea World, and more!
