As a premier private, college prep, boarding and day school in Florida, Admiral Farragut Academy encourages students to explore and realize their potential as individuals and as members of a global community. Beyond the wows of historical sites, Koebel and the students agree that the biggest benefit of the trip was the overall exposure to new and different cultures. Even though Farragut is home to students from an average of 32 countries and 17 U.S. states, while a student at Farragut they all have to wear the same clothes and eat the same foods.
International Students Share the Hits and Misses of Living in the States.
It is Farragut's speciality programs like Aviation that allows our graduates to turn a traditional high school transcript into something that sets them apart from the millions of other college applicants. Farragut's Certified Flight Instructor (CFI), Rob Ewing, an Embry-Riddle graduate, recently formalized an agreement with Embry-Riddle to offer exclusive Dual Enrollment classes to our students making us a feeder program.
The athletic department is pleased to announce the hiring of a new head wrestling coach, Ron Timpanaro, and new boys head basketball coach, Hernan Roldan.
Brittany came 1st place in the Long Jump, setting another new school record! The Golden South Classic is an international, elite track and field meet for high school students. The event has been named one of three meets in the prestigious adidasĀ® Golden Stripes series.
