History

The Elementary School was established in the fall of 1999 with 26 children in two classes - kindergarten and a first-second combination class.  In 2001, the school built a new building and added one third grade and one fourth grade and moved the fifth grade from Middle School to the Elementary School. In the fall of 2006, a pre-kindergarten class was added.

Admiral Farragut Academy's Middle and High Scohol was founded in 1933 on the banks of the Toms River in Pine Beach, New Jersey.  Farragut is named after Admiral David Glasgow Farragut, the first U.S. Naval officer to rise to that rank. Over the school's first twelve years, it became so popular that a second campus was purchased in 1945 on the shores of Boca Ciega Bay in St. Petersburg, Florida. Over seventy-five years later, this southern campus not only continues the traditions established in 1933, but also leads the way for students to grow into college bound young men and women of the 21st century.
