Development Assistant
Welcome to the AFA Development Website! I am Diane Smith, the Administrative Assistant for both the Alumni and Development Offices.
I was born and raised in Coral Gables, and moved to St. Petersburg, graduating from St. Pete College. I spent 13 years as an Executive at Maas Brothers Department Store, leaving to be an at home mom.
In raising my son, I was very active in the Pinellas County School System and received recognition as volunteer with the most hours, was a Den Mother for Boy Scouts and stayed active all the way to my son making Eagle Scout and Team Mom for most of the nine years of T-ball to All Stars Baseball.
I came on board at Admiral Farragut Academy in July 2006. I enjoyed meeting and gathering with the alumni at my first Homecoming in November 2006 and I am looking forward to helping coordinate the November 2007 Homecoming. It was exciting for me to be part of the team for the February 2007 Beach Ball Auction and be able to work with AFA’s dedicated and committed Parents’ Group.
