Here you will find a plethora of useful information about the college admissions process – everything from college and scholarship searches to information about financial aid, to personality tests, sample resumes, and advice on writing essays. 

Here’s a few things you should know:

1. Our CEEB code (High School Code) is 101-495. If you are a senior, you’ll need this number, along with your SSN, as every application will ask for them.
2. SAT and ACT scores are to be sent directly from the respective testing agencies. In other words, the Academy does not normally release that information. You can order your scores via the links on this site.

Admiral Farragut Academy offers a first rate educational experience that combines leadership opportunities, extracurricular activities, and community service, all of which are integral parts to your college application. Graduates have been accepted to and/or attended some of the finest schools in the country, including Harvard, Amherst, Cornell, George Washington, Georgetown, Duke, Boston University, all five Military Service Academies, the University of Florida, UC Berkeley, Tufts, Colgate, and New York University, among many others.

The opportunities are here; you as the student need only take advantage of them.

The College Counseling Office is here to advise, assist, and counsel you every step of the way as you begin the arduous and stressful process of applying to colleges. As you collaborate with the Office of College Placement, you will find the experience to be enjoyable and as painless as possible!

The Academy is committed to seeing every last one of its cadets placed into a four year college or university of their choice, but it is the cadet’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has the options and opportunities they desire when the time comes.
